The book dives deep into the dangerous mechanics of how a system can be designed to break the human will and chain the free spirit. The story revolves around the protagonist, Winston, a man who resists the manipulations of the dystopian political system and even plans to revolt against it. But at the end, he not only succumbs but actually embraces the current reign. Although the reading is a bit heavy at times, I would strongly suggest reading it at one go. Readers should watch the Apple ad 1984 to realize the impact the book had.
