- Is there a bookshop near me in Kathmandu?
- Two. Our original shop is in Paknajol-16, Chaksibari Marg, Thamel, Kathmandu, open 9:30 AM - 9:00 PM daily. Our Lalitpur shop is at Jhamsikhel, Near Big mart (Opposite Nepal Army's Chief Residence), Lalitpur, open 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
- How much does delivery cost?
- It depends on where you are and how heavy the parcel is. Inside the Kathmandu valley it is a flat rate for a standard parcel; elsewhere in Nepal the courier covers 479 destinations on a four-tier rate card. The exact amount is shown at the checkout before you pay.
- Can I collect my order instead of paying for delivery?
- Yes, and it is free. Choose collection at the checkout, pay online, and bring the QR code from your confirmation to either shop. There is nothing to pay at the counter.
- What kind of books do you stock?
- Himalayan, Buddhist and Nepali literature are what Pilgrims Book House has been known for since 1984, alongside fiction, children's books, academic texts, trekking maps and guidebooks. We also publish our own imprint of titles about Nepal that nobody else sells.
- Do you ship outside Nepal?
- Not from this site — our courier contract covers Nepal only. For international orders please use pilgrimsonlineshop.com.
