Prithvi Narayan Shah was a great strategist, a good warrior and daring commander. The whole life of Prithvi Narayan Shah passed in struggle. In that struggle he had to suffer many ups and downs. He is to be credited for having laid the foundation of a big kingdom i.e., Nepal. He is remembered as a great ruler in the history of the country. Several scholars have done work on Prithvi Narayan Shah but these scholars have given much attention to the biographical aspect and military activities of the Gorkha king. The 18th century, specially the period of Prithvi Narayan Shah, is a turning point in the history of Nepal. Extensively researched, the book is divided principalities were merged into one big kingdom. In this work more attention has been given to the administrative system, economic conditions, and foreign policy.
