Unsanskari: A Feminist Life is a debut collection of eight essays by Nirvana Bhandary, reflecting a millennial Nepali woman's experiences defying traditional 'sanskari' expectations in a patriarchal society. Originally conceived as a travel memoir from her 15-month solo journey across 15 countries starting nine years ago, it evolved into sharp cultural observations on feminism, including sexual assault statistics, the beauty industry, queerness, body politics, marriage, migration, and intergenerational shifts. Published in October 2025, the book blends personal narratives with researched insights, advocating for women to unlearn norms and claim authentic femininity as a radical act.
