The Holy Science

With an objective to show that all the religions and scriptures are essential, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri has compiled this book. Written originally in 1894 under the penname of ‘Kaivalya Darsanam’ when he was requested to write the book by Mahavatar Babaji, the author compares extracts between the Upanishads and Bible to show the unity in all religions.
The author debates that religious segregations based on conviction and believe are pointless because, at a crucial level, a contradiction has never existed. He compares various excerpts from Hindu scriptures to those in the Bible to show how both are based on common pillars.
The book is divided in four parts- gospel, goal, procedure and revelation; through all these parts he explains the complex Yuga theory in a clear and understandable manner to the reader, emphasizing that this is the Dwapara Yuga and not the Kali Yuga. This book gives astounding views of the foundations of religion and also interests intellectual readers that question faith over science. The Yogoda Satsanga Society of India published the new edition of this book in 2009 in paperback.
