David Copperfield (Wordsworth Classics) is considered as one of the best works of author Charles Dickens and was one of his personal favorites as well. The novel is autobiographical and talks about David Copperfield's life from his childhood to the time when he was well - settled, mature and content in life.Dickens had to leave school to work in a factory due to his father's imprisonment and hence, had a very tough childhood. Dickens has included his personal experiences into this novel and hence, it reflects a little bit of Dickens's own life. The book talks about how David was born a fatherless child and how he was raised by his mother and housemaid, Peggotty.
