She wakes while he is there and they fall in love and are married soon after. The second story in Princess Fairytales is Cinderella, about a young girl who is treated badly by her stepmother and stepsisters. One day, she wishes to attend the prince's ball, just like the other girls and her fairy godmother appears to grant it. The prince falls in love with her, but fails to get her name before she leaves. The prince has to embark on a quest to find her – with her discarded shoe as his only clue. The book's last story is Rapunzel, about a woman who longs to eat some lettuce from a witch's garden and refuses to eat anything else. Her husband steals some, and ends up promising their firstborn child in return. When their baby is born, the witch takes her and locks her in a tall tower. A passing prince observes how Rapunzel let down her hair.
