I was interested in information about Sri. Krishna, and this book has informed me about much that I didn't know. The description of Sri. Krishna as a lover, however, seemed to be without any spiritual insight. Sri. Krishna was not an ordinary man, and the way this description was presented, left a lot to be desired, or a lot more to be desired. In my opinion, I have direct knowledge of what an Avatar of Vishnu signifies. I know more than anything else, that the great Saint Ramakrishna Paramahamsa is an Avatar, and this realisation is more real to me, than anything else. Despite being married, Sri. Ramakrishna was celebate when he was a human, and what he taught was that divine bliss is above all other material pleasures and happiness. I have experienced this completely, according to myself. Sri. Krishna epitomised spirituality and the bliss that is associated with it, so the description of Sri Krishna as a 'lover' is incomplete, if one cannot describe it also spiritually.
