About the book:
This book is a fictional rendering of the most tumultuous period of the Nepalese history form the 1930s till the present day. Through the eyes of Sanjeevani, the story describes an ongoing socio economic and political process that has been on since over half century. It draws upon the painful transformation from a feudal society into a hopefully more egalitarian one. Rebelling against the rigid norms of society, Sanjeevani finds herself equally in rebellion with her conscience. Through consciousness of her, writing a biography of her grandmother, the novel depicts characters whose live history has thrown completely out of gear.
