Opened in 1997, this new branch of Pilgrims
Book House extends more than 9,000 square feet of floor space
with four floors -- making it the largest bookstore in Nepal
and one of the largest bookstores in South Asia. It is a "must-see"
stop for every visitor to Kathmandu Valley. It houses an extensive
collection of new books, specializing in Himalayan subjects,
as well as music cassettes, CDs, scented products, various sundry
items, gifts, and handicrafts. Service includes Nepal's most
reliable shipping service for books and handicrafts.
Pilgrims of Kupondole is conveniently located opposite the 5-Star
Hotel Himalaya and in route to Patan's famous temple area, Durbar
Square.

Educate the Children (ETC) is an International Non-Governmental
Organization dedicated to providing education to disadvantaged
women and children. Initially focused on providing private sponsorships
for orphan and impoverished children, their mission has since
expanded to include various community programs in several districts
and villages of Nepal.
From scholarships to skill development, leadership and managerial
training to adult literacy classes, health awareness to agricultural
support, their many-fold programs are all aimed at helping communities
develop in sustainable ways to improve their overall quality
of life.
